Summer Camp Program

In addition to our afterschool program, we provide all of our students a fun-packed, academically focused summer program. The goal of our summer program is to provide challenging and engaging learning experiences for our students so they are prepared to return to school in the fall at a level of academic preparedness that is comparative to their peers. With summer learning loss greater in children from disadvantaged communities, our summer program is vital to the students we serve. Our theme each summer is “Work Hard - Play Hard.”  Students spend two hours each morning on math, reading, science and swim instruction.  Students also have that opportunity to go on various field trips throughout our county: Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park, Hobcaw Barony and local beaches.

SUMMER SWIM:

Being surrounded by water in Pawleys Island, learning to swim is not only a fun activity but is vital to our students’ safety. Each day during the summer our students are given 30-minute swim lessons. In addition, each student participates in free swim in the afternoon.
